Programme Description

Grant funding ranging from R150 000 to R250 000 is available in this programme.


Target Market 

  • Rural based women-based and/or youth-owned business 
  • Businesses owned by and / or employing persons with disabilities. The business must be at least 6 months old, but less than 3 years old


Application Conditions

Applications should be made within the 4 application periods


Application Process

Applications can be made to the SAB Foundation using the details given below. Applicants will do a 5 minute presentation of their businesses and their need.


Success Stories

 i.            Ivy Halieo Mafahla is the founder of a Cape Town based production company called Basadi Women Technical Productions. She received grant funding of R150 000, which she used to purchase technical equipment. With her own equipment, her business is set for growth and expansion as she no longer faces outsourcing costs.

 ii.            Elverisa Esmerelda Albridge owner of Kesitah Cop and Print was able to purchase a new printer for her business after receiving R90 000 in grant funding. She looks forward to growth as she services clients in the small settlement of Jansenville in the Eastern Cape.
