Programme: The South African Black Filmmakers Incentive

Programme Description

A rebate of up to 50% for the first R6 million of the Qualifying South African Production Expenditure QSAPE is available in this programme.


Target Market

Special Purpose Corporate Vehicle (SPCV)


Application Process

The project must have a minimum production budget of R1 million and must have been in operation for at least 6 months, with at least a 10 minute trailblazer or short film produced.

The holding /service company must have at least 65% South African black shareholders and the Special Purpose Corporate Vehicle at least 75% South African black shareholders, of which the majority must play an active role in the production and be credit in that role
