Programme: The Clothing Bank (TCB) Enterprise Development Programme

Organisation: The Clothing Bank in partnership with several retailers


Type of Support

·         Training; and

·         Mentorship.


Programme Description

This is a two year training programme, where participants will be equipped with business, financial and life skills in the first year. The second year covers the same subjects at a deeper level, as well as computer skills. In the subsequent year, participants are exposed to job shadowing experiences, or they may invest in a Micro Franchise. Life coaching and mentoring is rendered throughout this time.


Target Market

Unemployed women.

Applicants must be prepared to undergo a preliminary entrepreneurial assessment before being admitted to the programme.

Applicants must be self motivated, with at least have a grade 10 level of education.

 i.            Pumela Yola (Age 31), a single mother of two rose from being dependant on her ex husband, to an independent woman who is able to provide for her children.


ii.            Gugu Mayidiydi (Age 31), a mother of one is now able to dream again and also take care of members of her extended family.


iii.            Aletta Modiko (Age 34), has become a business leader in her community, and is also able to take care of her family.
