Organisation: Industrial Development Corporation – Funding is provided by the European Community through the Department of Trade and Industry. Co-managed by the IDC and the European Investment Bank

Programme Description

In this programme, the maximum single investment is R20 million and the minimum for businesses located in townships and rural areas is R250 000. For those in other areas, the minimum  is R500 000


Target Market

Small and medium sized companies with a minimum BEE ownership of 25% plus one share.


Application Process

The job intensity of an investment calculated on a cost per job basis may not exceed R60 000

The organisation must demonstrate compliance with South African environmental legislation and have a programme for HIV/Aids prevention and awareness

Investments outside Gauteng and the Western Cape will be preferred, as well as those located anywhere in Africa
