Programme: Grofin SME Finance Solutions

Programme Description

Here, both pre and post investment business support is available. Debt, equity or mezzanine finance solutions are available, ranging from between R500 000 and R16 000 000 for a period of 4 to 6 years.


Target Market

Small and medium sized enterprises


Application Process

Applicants must apply for finance and business support by completing an online form, or contact an office nearest to them.


Success Stories

i.            Michael Boakye Yiadom, of Amansaman in Accra Ghana owner of the educational institution called Firm Foundation, received funding from Grofin, and he was able to expand his business as well as purchase buses that provide transportation to the learners at the institution.


ii.            Used car dealer, Owen Steyn of Comet Cars, received financial support from Grofin and he was able to increase stock levels and diversify his offering. He has moved from selling 15 to 20 lower -end vehicles to 25 to 30 financeable cars per month.  The business support he received assisted him to use a formal accounting system in his operations, and currently employs 14 individuals.

iii.            Agnes Njeri, from Nairobi, Kenya runs Kula Plus, which is a restaurant that serves traditional African food. She received both financial and other business support, including advice on the best site for her restaurant. She has been able to grow and employ 10 more individuals, since Grofin became involved in her business.
