Programme: Dti Cooperative Incentive Scheme

·         Funding.


Programme Description

A maximum of R350 000 in grant funding is available under this programme. This can be used for the purchase of the cooperative’s start up requirements.
 

Target Market

Registered cooperatives (with five or more members) that are owned and managed by historically disadvantaged individuals. The grant favours women, youth and people with disabilities.

The cooperatives may have operations in any of the economic sectors


Application Process

If the co-operative has been in existence for at least three years, the financial statements of the Co-operative for the last three years are required

If it is a start-up, Projected Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement projections for the next 3 years are required

The cooperative must show a resolution for a decision to apply for the funds; and

They must provide 3 comparable quotations, and they have to submit a business plan according to the template that has been provided by the Dti.
