Programme: DTI Business Process Services (BPS)

Type of Support
  • Tax exempt bonuses based on number of jobs created.
 

Programme Description

The programme offers tax exempt bonuses based on the number of jobs created as follows:
  • 20% bonus for more than 400 but less than 600 new jobs that are created.   
  • 30% bonus for more than 800 jobs that are created.
 

Target Market

Companies Employing at least 80% youth
 

Application Conditions

The project must create at least 50 new jobs by the end of 3 years
The project must commence operations not later than 6 months after incentive grant approval. Failure to reach this target date will lead to the cancellation or disqualification of the application, thus requiring the applicant to submit a
revised application to reapply.
The created jobs should  not displace existing jobs within South Africa, for example by way of relocating an existing
BPS facility, in full or part, within South Africa.

Applicants must download the application form that is available online.
 

Success Stories

  1. Since the inception of the programme, 9077 new jobs have been created.
  2. South Africa became the  2012 and 2013  Best Offshoring Destination at the National Outsourcing Association and European Outsourcing Association respectively
