Programme Description
 
The Bio-Manufacturing Industry Development centre(BIDC) is an open innovation hub focused on the bio-manufacturing sector. It aims to support small, medium and micro-enterprises(SMMEs) involved in bio-manufacturing to meet their needs within short time-frames and be able to exploit market opportunities. Through the programme entrepreneurs can get support with:
  • The development of bio-manufacturing processes and products
  • Access to ready-to-use bio-manufacturing facilities 
  • Access to research and development laboratories
  • Mentorship through experts in fields such as bioprocess development, prototyping, pilot manufacturing and scale-up capabilities
  • Getting their innovations market ready
  • Going to market
